Luis Dantas, PRODUCER
Luis Dantas produced the film with Tom Donahue (see editor) and de Villa. Luis began his career as a magazine photographer in Brazil. After receiving many awards and publishing over 5,000 photographs he turned to film. He produced and directed several short films in Brazil and was twice the winner of the prestigious Prêmio Estímulo. Luis and de Villa met at the graduate film program at Columbia University. In 1997, Luis produced de Villa's short film Neto's Run. As a director, Luis received the New Line Cinema Award for best film for Child's Play, and the Polo Ralph Lauren Development award to make A Dozen Kliks, for which he was mentored by director Milos Forman.
