Looking Forward: 2016 – Week 4

Week four of Looking Forward started off with a reporter named Rebecca Penn talking about a change of professional pace, then continued with a young man named Derick, reviewing movies on VHS. Trip Markle continued the week by speaking on eco-friendly gun rights and how Jason’s point of view aligns perfectly with his. Reba and Harold Blern start their no-impact camping adventure with “Leave No Trace,” and Klamm campaign accountant Bobby Harbinger begins his vlog about movie and TV extras with an embarrassing piece of video from Jason’s past.

So Exactly How Evil Is Mike Curasi, Anyway?

Find out here!

Mike takes a very revealing personality test, with S’mike as his personal “Bullshit Caller.” Which is an incredibly important job, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. The results?

*Shocking*

Coconuts are a theme as well, with tales of coconut daredevilry, fancy boozey coconut concoctions and a study of statistically significant coconut-related injuries in the US.

S’mike recounts the horrors of visiting his parents in their Floridian gated community, and the Buddies get in touch with their inner cavemen, recounting times they made bad decisions as their lizard brains took over.

Also: Vampire internet clips! Corn cobs! Crib escaping!

And the secret reason behind the zombie craze is revealed. You heard it hear fifteenth, folks.

Dan and Jay’s Comedy Hour Podcast Episode 75 – Penilingus

Dan and Jay are podcasting together in the same room for the first time!  At least on this show.   They haven’t seen each other since 2013, and they’ve brought in birthday boy Taylor Jessen to celebrate.  Unfortunately, the sound quality is not so great, but a fun time was had by al

Looking Forward: 2016 – Week 3

Last week, the world of the Klamm campaign got more and more intriguing, starting with appearances by Kyle Frank, the filmmaker who held the rights to the footage for the original Looking Forward documentary, who is introducing the world to the kind of work his production company is doing. Lloyd “L.B.” Barker, former Klamm campaign manager, enters the scene under the umbrella of three separate but related movements, including his “men’s rights” organization “Men On Top.” Phyllis Masters, the corporate entity that once funded the Klamm campaign, enters the world of vaping with this word from CEO Trace Emplin. Dan Gomiller, the former Klamm campaign stylist, vlogs under the name of his political fashion shop, “Thread Level Orange,” from San Francisco airport about his trip to visit the new Klamm campaign. And, via the candidate himself, the Klamm campaign introduces their search for an intern – and it just might be you!

The Novelization Realization Project: Cabin in the Woods

Rich is joined by Jennie Josephson to talk about Tim Lebbon’s novelization of Cabin in the Woods. What happens when you take a masterfully self-aware script and let someone expand on it? Is it standing on the shoulders of giants to reach new heights, or simply gilding the lily? Does the novelization need to defend its very existence in the 21st century? Most importantly, what exactly is a vagina-toothed woman? Jennie and Rich discuss.
