Ray Nowosielski has been a producer in the documentary film, television, and commercial worlds for nearly twenty years. Growing up in the Midwest, he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from Columbia College Chicago. He has lived in Los Angeles, Austin, Texas, and his current home New York City. Nowosielski arrived at Cabin Creek Films, production company of two-time Oscar winner and documentary legend Barbara Kopple, in 2014 following his time as a freelance producer with the Emmy-winning docu-series VICE on HBO. He has produced commercials for Fortune 500 companies including Verizon Wireless, DELL, and Office Depot, specializing in non-fiction and reality spots. Nowosielski was senior producer for the Emmy-winning docu shingle Globalvision and is proud to have worked in various capacities with some of the most esteemed individuals in the documentary field, including Alex Gibney, Morgan Spurlock, Kurt Engfehr, Patrick Creadon, Christine O’Malley, Jeff Scheftel, Rory O’Connor, Danny Schechter and, of course, Barbara Kopple. As an investigative journalist, he has written pieces for Salon and Truth-Out and contributed to articles for The Daily Beast, Gawker, The Intercept and Newsweek. |
